Our efforts are focused on preparing for the subsequent planting of new trees and shrubs, as well as building a new fence with the support of the Agricultural University of Plovdiv and the Municipality of Plovdiv.

After helping the volunteers from the Botanical Garden Restoration Group at the Agricultural University of Plovdiv on Earth Day, we at PlovdivTown will lend a hand once again. When we start something, it’s important to finish it properly.

The next major clean-up of the city park in the Kameniца 1 neighborhood—on Tsarigradsko Shosse Boulevard and Udrow Wilson Street—will take place on May 13th at 10:00 AM. Both the organizers and we invite everyone who wishes to join our team and dedicate two or three hours of their time to a good cause.

Our efforts are focused on preparing for the subsequent planting of new trees and shrubs, as well as building a new fence with the support of the Agricultural University of Plovdiv and the Municipality of Plovdiv.

Last time, during those few hours, we disposed of dozens of trash bags, began cleaning the long ditch bordering the area closest to the street, removed unnecessary and dead branches, mowed the grass, and refreshed part of the space. Unfortunately, there is still a lot of area that needs maintenance and must be prepared and cleaned beforehand.

For the arriving volunteers, we will provide gloves, pruners, shovels, trash bags, and other tools needed for the volunteer initiative, as well as drinking water. At the end, to relax and reward ourselves for the well-done work, we will have a barbecue right there in the meadow, so we can blend with nature and enjoy the sweet fatigue of our efforts.
