The kids want to see fountains, birdhouses, playgrounds, paths, exotic plants, fruits, and vegetables in the park
Children aged 5 to 16 participated with their drawings in an exhibition themed “My Botanical Garden,” organized by the Initiative Committee for the Restoration of the Botanical Garden and Speedflow Bulgaria in celebration of Children’s Day on June 1. The young artists demonstrated impressive talent and contributed to the project of revitalizing the envisioned park in Plovdiv with their artwork. They depicted through various techniques and styles what they would like to see in the park—fountains, birdhouses, playgrounds, paths, exotic plants, fruits, vegetables, and more. All this helps to promote the project for the restoration of the botanical garden in Plovdiv, which has been holding regular cleaning events since 2017 in collaboration with the Plovdiv Municipality, the Trakia district, and the Agricultural University of Plovdiv.
The ninth consecutive cleaning of the garden area is upcoming. The organizers of the initiative invite everyone this Sunday, June 10, at 10 a.m., to help restore the Botanical Garden by 2019.
