This Sunday, the cleanup of the neglected valuable park under the hills will continue
A group of volunteers will continue cleaning the neglected Botanical Garden of the Agricultural University in Plovdiv this Sunday. The enthusiasts, organized by Ukrainian Nata Elis, believe that it will take about two years to fully restore the 130-decare park and turn it into a slice of paradise.
They have received assurances from the university and the municipality that a fence will be installed after the cleanup. Botanical gardens from around the country have promised to donate trees and shrubs.
The cleanup event, titled “From Neglect to Nurtured,” will start on Sunday, March 11, at 11 a.m. “If you have extra gloves, please bring them with you. Any other equipment, such as tree pruning shears, shovels, trash bags, etc., will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you wish,” the organizers announced.
“Let’s roll up our sleeves together and transform the Botanical Garden into a magical place where we can enjoy with our children!” they urge.
Their plans include creating greenhouses, a main building, a laboratory, a children’s area, and a section for parents. Additional features will include an educational center, fountains, a lake, a Japanese and English garden, and an alpine garden.
