After two extremely successful clean-ups on April 15 and 22, Plovdiv volunteers are preparing for the eighth clean-up of the Botanical Garden. The results of the previous events are impressive: a significantly cleaner area, dozens of bags of trash collected, fallen trees and branches removed, and grass mowed. The space, which previously looked neglected, is increasingly resembling a park.
The next clean-up will take place this Sunday, May 13, at 10:00 AM. The team of volunteers is once again committed to preparing the area for the planting of new trees and shrubs, as well as for the construction of the fence with the help of the Agricultural University of Plovdiv and Plovdiv Municipality.
“When we work together, in just a few hours, we will continue to prepare the area. We provide all necessary materials – gloves, trash bags, shovels, pruners, and other tools. We ask you to take a few hours out of your valuable time and help us revive a place where rare plant species still grow!” urges Veneta Krumova on behalf of the volunteers.
The volunteers express their gratitude to the organizations involved: “Mislі zelеno” Association, the Bulgarian Association of Dental Medicine Students (BASDM), “I Love Plovdiv” Association, and PlovdivTown for their support.
