Following the two highly successful clean-up events held at the Botanical Garden of the Agricultural University of Plovdiv on April 15 and 22, the results are clear: an even larger cleaned area, dozens of bags of trash collected and disposed of, fallen trees and branches removed, and grass mowed. A once completely neglected space is increasingly starting to resemble a real park!
Join our enthusiastic team again this Sunday, May 13, at 10:00 AM, as we continue preparing the area for planting new trees and shrubs and for the construction of the fence by the Agricultural University of Plovdiv and the Municipality of Plovdiv. As usual, we will provide all necessary materials—gloves, trash bags, shovels, pruners, and more. We kindly ask you to dedicate a few hours of your valuable time to help us revive a place where rare plant species still grow, invite the organizers of the event.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the “Think Green” initiative, as well as to the Bulgarian Association of Dental Medicine Students (BASDM), the Association “I Love Plovdiv,” and PlovdivTown – City of Plovdiv, who embraced our cause and joined in the major clean-up of the Botanical Garden on Earth Day, April 22, the authors of the initiative add.
